Leslie Alba

Leslie Alba is the head of portfolio solutions at CIBC Global Asset Management. She provides strategic oversight and portfolio management for CIBC Managed Solutions. As chair of the Portfolio Solutions Research Forum, a group of select investment experts across CIBC Global Asset Management, she ensures Managed Solutions reflect the organization’s best ideas. She leads the Portfolio Solutions group in portfolio construction, portfolio performance and risk analysis, and thought leadership. Her return to CIBC in August 2022 followed a six-year stint in London, U.K. as the associate director of research for Morningstar Investment Management, where she managed global capital markets research, constructed asset allocation for top-tier institutional clients, and spearheaded the execution of various strategic initiatives. Before this, she was a Research Analyst at CIBC Global Asset Management Investment Management Research focused on non-domestic equities. Alba is a CFA charterholder, has an honours bachelor of international business from Carleton University, and holds a Master of Business Administration (with distinction) from Bayes Business School in London, U.K.
