BMO launches investment platform with Calgary investment management firm

BMO partnered with Calgary-based Link Investment Management to launch a workplace investment platform, the bank announced Tuesday.

The online platform will let plan holders contribute to employer-sponsored group plans such as RRSPs, TFSAs and deferred profit-sharing plans. Plan holders can also include BMO ETFs in their portfolios.

The online enrolment process for plan holders determines their risk profile, time horizon and investment objectives to recommend a portfolio of BMO ETFs. Its features include automatic payroll deduction, portfolio rebalancing and supporting employer contribution matches.

BMO acquired a minority stake in online workplace investment and pension platform Link in May 2023. Link builds white-labelled products for financial institutions.
